Daily Photo – Autumn’s Close Up

Nikon D7000 + 50mm f/1.8 Autumn Leaves

I really enjoy walking around with my 50mm this time of year. Landscape photography is not just about getting that dramatic sunset, or expansive landscape, but it is also about taking time to get the close up shot. While the 50mm might not be exactly ideal for taking close up photos, it does let me get a lot closer than my wide angle lens, and at the same time, is a lot lighter and sharper than my current telephoto options (which I intend on upgrading!).

How do you feel about landscape close ups?
