As I approach the close of Phogropathy’s first year of existence I’ve started to think about how far I’ve come as a photographer. It’s amazing the differences in the quality of not only the compositions of the shots, but also I feel as though my eye for processing photos has improved as well. Of course, this is to be expected, as the more we do something the better we get, but it’s still interesting to look back.
However, I’d like to ask the readers of this site how often you look back at your older photos to see how far you’ve come? And when you do, do you ever cringe when you look back and think to yourself, “I thought that was good back then?”
I’ve come a long way since those early days of Phogropathy.com, but I still have an extremely long way to go! This site keeps me shooting and the readers of it keep helping me learn and try new things. I am excited to see what the next years of my photography hobby bring to me and I hope you’re all excited to continue seeing photographs from me!
I’m not much for candid photography, but I couldn’t resist taking a photo of this man fishing at Hopkinton State Park the other day. It was just before sunset and he was the only person on the beach and the scene just came together.
As always thanks for visiting my slice of the internet – please come back soon!
