After a summer in which it seemed like I couldn’t go from my front door to my car without seeing a dragonfly or two they have gone just as fast as they came.
Daily Photo – The Dragonflies Have Gone
This photograph is a reprocessing of a black and white image I posted a few weeks ago. While I did enjoy the black and white edit I think ultimately it looks a little better with this warmer color tone to it.
The photo itself was taken in my backyard using my Nikon 55-300mm telephoto zoom at ISO 125, 300mm, f/9 and a shutter speed of 1/100 seconds.
In Lightroom I played around with the white balance a bit warming the overall photograph up and fine tuned the exposure and contrast with the basic tab sliders. I then added a slight vignette to draw the attention of the viewer away from the edges and finally added some sharpness.
