Last week I took a look at my Google Analytics for 2012 and created a post based around some of the interesting statistics which you’re welcome to check out. However, that covered my most viewed posts of 2012, not my favorite photos so I wanted to create another quick year end post for you today with my 10 Favorite Photos of 2012.
A Few Notes About this Post
- You can click on any image below and you’ll be brought to the post from which it came.
- Comments make me smile so leave a comment below letting me know which of these 11 is your favorite.
- If you created your own top 10 list link to it in the comments below.

Wow! What great shots. I particularly like the Bar one and the Boston lights one – I’m just starting out in digital photography and have been doing a couple of ‘painting with light’ projects so these images appeal to me.
My absolute favourite is the sunset though. I LOVE sunset shots and this one feels so relaxing – I could drift away looking at it for hours…
The one in the bar was just about being in the right place at the right time.. It’s hands down my favorite iPhone shot taken so far with me 4S. Thanks for the comment and I’m glad you enjoyed the photos! It’s always so nice to hear from people
very nice shots,i can already tell that 2013 will be a good photo year for you.happy new year
Thanks Kevin! I’m really excited about 2013 can’t wait to see what it brings. Happy New Year to you as well!
Great set of photos John – I really enjoyed Up Against the Wall, The Kayaks, and Boston’s Lights. Excited to see what you bring to us in 2013 – Happy New Year!
Inspired by this post, I made some time to create my own Top Ten which you can view at Flickr:

I really enjoyed looking back through some shots I’d completely forgotten about. I couldn’t believe how difficult it was to whittle my favourites down to ten and as I’ve only just taken digital photography up, I dread to think how many images I’m going to have to wade through when it comes to making a top ten for 2013!
Thanks for sharing your top Ten from 2012. It definitely does get harder the more you do it, but it’s a fun little year end challenge at the same time. I really think “Zoom-Burst” is a cool photo! Hope to see you around here more!
Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed my photos and I can’t wait to see what 2013 brings me either!
For some reason I keep going back to “Something a little different”. I like the result and thinking about how you made it intrigues me even more. Perhaps I’ll try it myself sometime.
It’s amazing to think that an “accident” turned into one of my favorite shots of the year. I’ve tried a couple other times to recreate this kind of photograph, but nothing has come out looking quite as good as the original. If you do give it a try I’d love to see your results.
