Yesterday I was published on Digital Photography School’s website again this time I was inspired by the work I’ve been doing for my Let’s Edit series. The post I wrote, Improve Your Photography By Learning to Edit, is all about the idea of taking what we learn behind the computer and applying that to our shoots out in the field.
Daily Photo – Really, I’m Not That Cold

I am enjoying going through these shots and I want to make sure that taking Alycia out in the snow in a dress was worth the effort. So here’s one last photo from the snow shoot – a close up!
I think when considering portrait photography my weakest area is close ups. I prefer putting the subject in the environment like you saw earlier this week, however, I really like the way this photo turned out with the snow starting to accumulate on Alycia’s hair.
Again – I want to thank Alycia for toughing it out and doing this shoot with me – it was a lot of work and definitely a cold and numbing experience. In the end we both learned a lot and we got a handful of great photographs to share with all of you. I look forward to our next shoot which will hopefully be on a beach in 80 degree weather!

Nice close up. And I don’t care what you say it definitely looks cold!
