After gaining two years of experience behind my D7000 I made the drive up to Ashby MA to revisit Trap Falls yesterday. I haven’t been this happy about a photo shoot in a long time!
Daily Photo – Revisiting Trap Falls
First I’d like to say that it felt so good to get out and take photos again as it has been far too long since I’ve made the time for my camera. I’ve been focusing so much on other aspects of Phogropathy that I have neglected the most important aspect of this site – my own photography.
Today’s photograph of Trap Falls was one of the first I took during the visit and I took this shot specifically to compare it to one of the first shots I ever took of the waterfall. Both photos were taken with the same gear in similar conditions however, they are clearly different photos.
When I compare both of them side by side I prefer the today’s photo for its exposure and sharpness, I also think that the branch that has fallen across the base of the waterfall adds a nice compositional element to the scene (but that’s something I had no control over).
Which shot do you prefer?
