Happy Monday everyone did you all have a nice weekend?
I’d like to share with all of you a new addition to Phogropathy.com - My Camera Gear. Every now and then people will ask me what I use to capture and edit the photographs you see on this site, well now, there’s a list of the essential items. Check it out.
Today’s Photo – Sunset at Stony Brook
Continuing along with the Stony Brook theme I wanted to share one of the final shots from that walk – the main event.
I thought it was going to be one of those amazing sunsets with sprawling clouds, but they started burning off about 30 minutes before sunset. So this one was a little on the clear side for my liking, but there was still some nice reflections to be had on the water so it wasn’t a complete loss. I processed this using Photomatix and touched up in Photoshop using Topaz Adjust.
Hope you like it! Have a nice day.

great sunflare John, looks like a beauty of a place!
Thanks Jim!
It really is a great place – I grew up five minutes away from it and kind of completely forgot it existed until I started getting into photography and started looking for places to photograph. It’s full of wildlife and offers some great scenic vistas
Sweet rays in this shot.
